Tesco PLC (LON:TSCO) has plans to open their ninth store in Worthing.

Tesco PLC (LON:TSCO) shares stood at 439 at the end of the last trading session.

Tesco PLC (LON:TSCO) has decided to bring its ninth store to Worthing. Tesco PLC (LON:TSCO) has submitted a planning application to transform the former Caffyns car showroom in Goring Road.

The move, which is likely to create aruond 20 jobs, would mean the town had the same number of Tesco PLC (LON:TSCO) stores as Brighton and Hove.

Ward councilors have raised concerns over the effect another Tesco PLC (LON:TSCO) would have on smaller independent businesses, but a Tesco PLC (LON:TSCO) spokesman said that the opening of a new store often attract new customers to an area.
