Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) has increased its CEO’s pay to $25 million.

According to a regulatory filing, Ian Read, Chief Executive Officer of Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) received a 44 percent raise in total compensation last year to $25 million in his new role.

Read was named as the CEO of Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) in December 2010, after the surprise resignation of Jeffrey Kindler.

The total payment includes a salary of $1.7 million, up 42 percent, stock awards and option awards totaling about $12.5 million, a $3.5 million incentive award and about $319,000 in other compensation.

Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:PFE) company shares are currently standing at 21.82.
