Reports say that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has joined hands with Wayra, Telefónica’s accelerator program for technology startups.
According to the deal, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) will provide tools, knowledge and technical training for projects supported by Wayra.
Wayra entrepreneurs will have access to Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s BizSpark program, providing access to and licenses for Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) software development platforms, subscription to developer content within Microsoft Developer Network, technical support sessions and visibility within the Microsoft Corporation Partners and Mentors Network.
Jean-Philippe Courtois, president of Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) International, said that, “The first three years for start-ups are usually the most critical and raise more challenges for their long-term success.This agreement will allow us to reach more entrepreneurs worldwide helping them to accelerate their good ideas and develop great companies.”
