Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has completed the first phase of the Imkaan program in Qatar.

It has been reported that Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Qatar has completed the first phase of the Imkaan program, which is aimed at helping people with disabilities in Qatar through information technology.

The Imkaan program is a joint venture between Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) and Mada Assistive Technology Centre (Mada) of ictQATAR to provide digital literacy materials to people with disabilities while training the IT community in Qatar on accessibility standards.

Naim Yazbeck, country manager, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Qatar said, “Providing easier access to the latest technology is vital in order to enable broad digital inclusion for people with disabilities. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is also leveraging our experience worldwide where Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has been successfully working to increase the level of digital skills of the population in general and specifically to empower people with disabilities. With the successful completion of Phase 1, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is ready to move quickly on activating the remaining components of this program along with Mada to provide a supportive environment for them to facilitate greater social and workplace integration”.
