J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM) has announced the appointment of a new CEO of its Asia Pacific business.

Jeff Urwin, Head of Global Investment Banking Coverage, Capital Markets and Mergers & Acquisitions has been named as J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM)’s new CEO of Asia Pacific region.

In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing all the company’s strategic activities in the region, along with his current global banking responsibilities.

Jes Staley, CEO of the Investment Bank unit of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM) said, “Jeff is a proven and trusted leader, and is highly respected by clients and colleagues around the world. Basing our global head of investment banking in Asia Pacific further cements our ongoing commitment to the region and its importance to our global franchise”.
