The New York Times has reported that Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) is planning to market its heads-up display glasses (HUD) by the end of the year.
HUD glasses are Android based smartphone glasses which can stream information to the users’ eyes in real time. The new glasses will be priced at around the price of Smartphones – $250 to $600.
The report also says that the glasses will have a 3G or 4G data connection, a number of sensors and a small screen. It will also have a low resolution built-in camera.
However, a Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) spokesman declined to comment on the report.
Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) shares were at 614.00 at the end of the last day’s trading. There’s been a 1.6% change in the stock price over the past 3 months.
