Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has released a new version of Google Earth, with a number of modifications.

The online giant Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) has launched the new version of Google Earth, with modifications including the elimination of the ‘patchwork quilt’ effect, blending of global imagery and the ability to share screenshots on Google+.

The new Google Earth 6.2 can be downloaded now via update from Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG).

A Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) spokeswoman said, “We are always working on making Google Earth imagery as seamless as possible. These recent changes will make the map more beautiful by showing a single source of data at high altitudes, significantly reducing patchiness from orbit. You may notice as you zoom in that there will be shifts in imagery as data from different sources transitions in but we aim to minimize this effect through special processing”.

Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) shares were at 568.10 at the end of the last day’s trading. There’s been a -2.9% change in the stock price over the past 3 months.
