Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) has decided to increase the annual compensation for board members by 25%.

According to a Bloomberg report, Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) will pay its board members an annual retainer of $250,000 – up from $200,000.

On top of this, the company will pay $650,000 a year in cash for Edsel Ford II, for his work as a director and consultant.

Todd Nissen, a Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) spokesman said, “We review all the compensation levels on a regular basis, and in the case of the board, determined this was needed to ensure we continue to attract and retain the talent we have.”

Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) stocks are currently standing at 12.53.
