Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) announced that it has removed the broken section of Silvertip pipeline from Yellowstone River near Billings in Montana.

An oil spill in July in Yellowstone River caused 1,200 barrels of oil to spread in the water.

In November, the company set up a coffer dam around the pipeline and also deployed mechanical ‘pigs’ to clean up the river.

Patty Errico, Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) spokeswoman, said, “Restoration activity and demobilization of equipment remain ongoing in the area near the Yellowstone River”.
