Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM) has announced the appointment of new head for its subsidiaries in Malaysia.

The US based oil giant Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM)’s Subsidiaries in Malaysia has replaced Hugh WA Thompson with J. Hunter Farris as the new chairman in the country effective from Wednesday.
Prior to his appointment, Farris was the deputy production manager for ExxonMobil Corporation (NYSE:XOM)’s Exploration and Production unit in Malaysia.
Thompson will remain as chairman of Esso Malaysia Bhd, ExxonMobil Borneo Sdn Bhd and ExxonMobil Malaysia Sdn Bhd until transition efforts in these companies are completed, expected to be in April 2012.
Exxon Mobil Corp. (NYSE:XOM) shares were at 83.53 at the end of the last day’s trading. There’s been a 8.5% change in the stock price over the past 3 months.
