Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) has inked a Safety Agreement with OSHA over seatbelts.

Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) has announced that it has agreed to outfit the company’s baggage handling vehicles with seat belts.

The agreement covers about 90 of the Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL)’s airport sites that fall under OSHA’s jurisdiction.

According to the agreement, Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) will introduce the new guidelines over two years, beginning with training employees on the proper use of seat belts and installation of the belts.

Dr. David Michaels, Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health, said that, “OSHA’s corporate-wide settlement agreements are highly effective tools for ensuring that companies address hazards that can injure or kill their workers. This kind of widespread change within corporations can go a long way toward keeping workers across the country safe and healthy at the end of every workday”.

Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) shares are currently standing at 10.25.
