At its annual meeting, almost 55 percent of Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C)’s shareholders voted against the pay packages that have been granted to the bank’s top executives, including CEO Vikram Pandit’s $15 million pay package.

Jon Diat, a spokesman for Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C) said, “Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C)’s board of directors takes the shareholder vote seriously, and along with senior management will consult with representative shareholders to understand their concerns.”
