Caterpillar To Sell Australian Mining Distributor


Caterpillar (NYSE:CAT) has reportedly decided to sell the Australian distributor of its Bucyrus mining equipment.

Peoria, Illinois, based manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines and industrial gas turbines, Caterpillar (NYSE:CAT), has decided to sell the Australian distributor of its Bucyrus mining equipment to WesTrac Pty Limited for a sum of $400 million.

Caterpillar (NYSE:CAT) tookover Bucyrus last year and later announced that they would sell off Bucyrus distributers to all Caterpillar (NYSE:CAT) dealers.

WesTrac Pty Limited is an official Caterpillar (NYSE:CAT) dealer.

Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE:CAT) shares are currently standing at 106.44.
