Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Samsung Electronics chiefs have been ordered to enter into settlement talks.

A federal judge has ordered the CEOs of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Samsung to a face-to-face mediation session to try to settle their differences over smartphone technology.

The U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh in San Jose asked both the companies to hold a settlement conference to settle their dispute.

Apple Inc. confirmed that the companies have agreed to participate and said the meeting will take place within 90 days.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) shares are currently standing at 609.70.
